Examination Rules
- Students will be given compulsory assignments in each subject, which have to be submitted to their respective teachers well in time.
- Students must have attended at least 75% of the total lectures/Practical.
- Students should have obtained passing marks in the Mid Semester Tests(MSTs) according to the university norms.
- Students will be awarded internal assessment (theory/practical) according to Punjabi University, Patiala norms.
House test
The House exams of the semester system classes will be as follows:-
first semester at the end of October 2018
Second semester at the end of March2019
Rules of examination
1.) It is mandatory for every student to participate in house and monthly examinations. Admission forms are sent to the university only based on the result of the house examination/ house test.
2.) Exemption from the above examination due to illness or urgent reason, has to be obtained from the principal. In case of illness, the principle should be informed immediately. No application will be accepted for exemption after the examination.
Eligibility for University examination
1. A student must attend 75% of the lectures given in each class.
2. For students of B.A.classes 33% marks in total subjects combined or 25% marks in each subject should be compulsory in the house examination.
3. If a student is exempted from a house examination due to illness or other urgent reasons, orders for special tests will be given by the principal. such a student will have to get 25% marks in total subjects.
4. A student who has not attended the required lectures will also not be able to take the exam as a regular student.
Note:- a) If a student is unable to take the examination due to illness or such valid reasons, then with the permission of the principal, she can take the special examination by paying an examination fee of rupees 10 per subject.
b) If a student is found to be using improper means in these house examinations, she may be fined heavily and the relevant paper will also be cancelled.
